Yafes Öner (Partner) is an experienced corporate lawyer specialising in M&A transactions and corporate law. He has a strong background in acquisition transactions in the energy (electricity and renewable energy), retail and information technology sectors. He has played a pivotal role in numerous corporate transactions and advised multinational clients on both the buy-side and the sell-side.

Yafes also has a wealth of experience in banking and finance transactions, having provided counsel to diverse lenders and domestic companies in various finance deals. His involvement spans restructuring projects to the sale and transfer of non-performing loan portfolios of financial institutions. In addition to his proficiency in corporate and finance law, Yafes is actively engaged in real estate and construction law, providing legal advice to clients on a range of matters, including the development of residential and commercial projects, and the development of solar power plants.

Before he co-founded AECO in 2024, he worked at PAE and a leading top-tier domestic law firm for six years. In addition to Turkish, he is fluent in English.
