Fazıl Çiftçi

Fazıl Çiftçi (Counsel) is a highly experienced and widely known banking and finance, bankruptcy and litigation lawyer with 30 years of experience. He has significant expertise in working with Turkish regulatory authorities and official financial institutions including Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) and Saving Deposit Insurance Fund (SDIF). He also has expertise in litigation, commercial, business and banking law area with a concentration on execution and bankruptcy law. Following his graduation, he was educated on international business and trained as a judge. He worked for various Turkish banks such as Bank Ekspres, EGS Bank and Demirbank as an in-house lawyer for almost ten years and then joined the Istanbul office of a London-based international law firm, Denton Wilde Sapte (now known as Dentons), and lead the firm’s banking and litigation team for a number of years. Fazıl managed his boutique law firm for almost two decades and joined AECO as the head of litigation practise afterwards.

He advises leading banks, financial institutions, leasing and asset management companies since then.

In addition to Turkish, he is fluent in English.
