Çağrı Çetinkaya

Çağrı Çetinkaya (Partner) is a dual-qualified lawyer, holding bar admissions in both New York and Istanbul. As an experienced lawyer specialising in data, technology, and commercial law, Çağrı brings a wealth of expertise to the table with respect to data protection, information technology law, competition law, corporate law, and commercial agreements. Over the course of his career, Çağrı has provided counsel to a diverse range of international and local clients across various sectors, including retail (e-commerce and brick and mortar), pharmaceuticals, energy, information technology, logistics and financial services. Prior to co-founding AECO in 2024, Çağrı held senior roles at Kinstellar and Denton Wilde Sapte (now known as Dentons) as well as Paksoy. He also served as a research assistant at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and was a founding partner of the law firm Çetinkaya Pehlivan Barlak.

In addition to Turkish, he is fluent in English and acts as a guest lecturer in a number of universities on data, technology and commercial law matters.

Çağrı holds CIPP/E, CIPM, and FIP designations from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
